We offer safe, healthy cooking classes for kids- preschoolers to young adults. All our classes include basic nutrition information and healthy recipes that can easily be prepared at home. We focus on recipes packed with fruits and vegetables and stay away from added sugar whenever possible.
Learning to cook prepares kids for their future-- a lifelong skill they will need to be independent and healthier in life. It also helps out parents since they can share in the household cooking duties. By age 10 (if not sooner), the majority of children should be able to prepare a simple meal for the family with minimal assistance.
We take requests, so be sure to contact us if you're seeking a specific cooking skill, recipe or class type. We currently offer classes in Tampa and Valrico, but since we're also a mobile school, we will bring everything straight to your door!
We believe it's never too early to learn to "cook". We teach little ones kitchen skills such as measuring, mixing, pouring, shaking, spreading, peeling, rolling, mashing and cutting using child safety knives-practicing those important fine motor skills! Although we consider these classes to be "parent-assisted", we strive for our little cooks to be independent in learning new cooking skills
In this series of classes designed especially for teens and young adults, we teach cooking using appliances permitted in most dorm rooms. So skip the Ramen (and the extra pounds) and learn to cook healthy, quick, and tasty meals and snacks. Also included are bargain food shopping tips, proper food handling and storage information, knife skills, and much more!
Let us keep the kids busy while you enjoy a night out. We'll cook up a yummy dinner and dessert, followed by a movie. Did we mention popcorn?
